National Science Week begins on August 15, bringing thousands of Australians together to celebrate science and discover the incredible wildlife living all around us.
We’ll be at several Science Week events, encouraging everyone to become a citizen scientist and upload photographs of insects, spiders, snails and worms into iNaturalist.
Every insect, spider, snail and worm photographed and uploaded to Bug Hunt during National Science Week will help build our understanding of Australia’s remarkable invertebrates, and could even help detect new invasive species before they spread.
Find an event near you or upload your own bug observations to iNaturalist, and join the Bug Hunt Australia iNaturalist project.
